About Me
I work with people who feel stuck or behind in life, even when everything looks fine from the outside. You might feel anxious, burnt out, unsure of your direction, or frustrated that you can’t seem to follow through on things you genuinely care about.
You might also be someone who has already tried to figure yourself out. You’ve listened to the podcasts, read the books, watched the YouTube videos, and tried to make the changes they recommended. You know what you’re supposed to do.
And yet, somehow, you still find yourself stuck in bed when you wake up, putting things off, falling back into old habits, or wondering why you’re still dealing with the same problems year after year.
Knowing what to do and actually being able to do it aren’t always the same thing. Therapy can be a place to slow that process down, understand what’s getting in the way, and work on changes that actually stick.
For People Who Grew Up Online
Many of the people I work with grew up online—gamers, former gifted kids, high achievers, and people who are chronically online and a little tired of being told that’s the whole problem.
For a lot of people, the internet became a place where effort turned into progress, things felt clear, and you could feel connected or understood. That makes sense. Therapy can be a place to understand those patterns and start figuring out what you want your life to look like offline.
What We Can Work On
I work with concerns including:
- Anxiety and social anxiety
- Burnout, motivation, and emotional regulation
- Gaming, doom-scrolling, and problematic internet use
- Pornography use and compulsive habits
- Relationships, dating, and self-esteem
- Feeling stuck or unsure about your direction
- Family expectations and cultural pressures
- Body image, perfectionism, and people-pleasing
I work with both men and women, including young adults navigating relationships, identity, work, family, and the expectations they’ve grown up with. I also have experience working with second-generation immigrants balancing family and cultural expectations with the life they want for themselves.
My Approach
My approach is practical, collaborative, and client-centred. I draw from CBT, humanistic, and strengths-based approaches to understand what’s keeping you stuck and find strategies that actually fit your life.
I don’t view things like gaming, scrolling, or pornography use as personal failings. Often, these habits made sense at some point because they helped you cope, escape, feel connected, or experience a sense of progress.
Rather than simply trying to take those things away, we can look at what they’re doing for you, what needs they’re meeting, and what other ways of meeting those needs might look like.
